Christine has lived most of her adult life in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She and her husband live on their family homestead farm in the heart of the Hiawatha National forest. Christine graduated cum laude from Northern Michigan University with a concentration in Art Education. She has recently retired from teaching High School and Middle School art for Escanaba Area Public Schools. She has also been on the adjunct faculty at Bay de Noc Community College teaching Art History. Her lifelong dream has been to have her own art studio and gallery. She is currently renovating a building in Nahma located on the shores of Lake Michigan. Her gallery will feature her own and other local artists’ work. The studio gallery will specialize in offering classes in various media to adults and children.

Christine has developed a unique style of painting with watercolors. Her command of bright and glowing color and her composition and expressive quality are all evident in her work. She also specializes in print making and ceramics. She is a popular teacher in the area and is frequently requested to teach various studio classes for the Wm. Bonifas Fine Art Center as well as other arts organizations in the Upper Peninsula.

She currently serves on the board of directors for Bay Area Art Association and is also currently serving a four year term on the Hiawatha National Forest Regional Advisory Committee.

Her work has won purchase awards at area art exhibits including Northern Exposure and her work is in the permanent Collection at Bay de Noc Community College. Her work is also in the private collections of many midwestern citizens and businesses.
